5. Redemption

Redemption is an important concept in Christian theology. It refers to the deliverance of Christians from sin. In Star Wars redemption is shown when Darth Vadar/ Anakin Skywalker sacrifices himself in order to save his son Luke Skywalker. The act of sacrificial love was then seen as redemption and in the end, Darth Vadar overcame the dark side and turned to light side and was redeemed. "For God so loved the world he gave his one and only son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life" (John 3:16). Because Darth Vadar felt love for his son and wanted to save him, the act of sacrificing himself for his son, meant that he would be redeemed.
